(ConservativeInsider.org) – Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, was quite busy on Tuesday, September 29. She met with eight Senate Republicans to discuss her credentials and confirmation process. This is the first step in a weeks-long process to become a life-long justice on our nation’s high court.
Barret met with the following senators:
- Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
- Banking Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-ID)
- Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
- Ted Cruz (R-TX)
- Majority Whip John Thune (R-SD)
- Mike Lee (R-UT)
- Rick Scott (R-FL)
- Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
Most of these senators praised Barrett for various reasons, ranging from her “brilliant legal mind” to her “impeccable” credentials. Graham shared his thoughts on the nomination and confirmation process with Fox News:

Her confirmation hearings will begin on October 12. They’re expected to last three or four days. Around October 22 is when the Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to vote, although Graham can change the date if desired.
With a Conservative majority in the Senate, Barrett will likely be confirmed as the next Supreme Court justice before Election Day. This would secure a Conservative-majority high court, and just in time, in case, it has to rule on the presidential election results.
