Bill Barr Meets With Trump to Brief Him About Ballot Problems in Pennsylvania

( – With the presidential election closing in fast, the conversation over mail-in ballot fraud heats up even more. Last week, the Luzerne County Board of Elections found nine military ballots in a dumpster, leading Attorney General William Barr to speak with President Donald Trump about the situation.

On Thursday, September 24, the US Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania revealed in a statement that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Pennsylvania State Police recovered nine discarded ballots. Seven of them were open and showed votes for Trump, while two with unknown contents had been resealed prior to being recovered.

A follow-up letter to the Luzerne County Bureau of Elections from US Attorney David Freed called the incident “troubling.” The issue centered around ballot request envelopes looking similar to authentic ones, an issue known and not corrected by the Luzerne County Bureau of Elections.

This incident further fueled Trump’s fight against mail-in ballots:

A free and fair election is only possible when those responsible for moving and counting ballots commit to the proper protocols for handling votes. With more incidents of tampering popping up, voters must be vigilant to ensure their vote is placed properly and with care through the correct channels.
