Donald Trump's Fundraising Haul Shows He's Back in the Saddle Again

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Former President Donald Trump is one of the most popular politicians in American history. In 2020, he received more votes than any other sitting president. More than a year after leaving office, his fundraising haul shows he’s still arguably the most dominant figure in the GOP.

Trump’s political committees raised $55 million during the second half of 2021. At the beginning of 2022, he had $122 million in his war chest. To put that into perspective, the Republican National Committee (RNC), which represents the entire party, raised $158.6 million in all of 2021, but only had $56.3 million in available cash going into the new year. While that’s an incredible sum of money, Trump has blown the RNC out of the water.

What’s also interesting about Trump’s fundraising haul is that most of the money came from small dollar donations. The former president’s team told the press that all but 2% of donations in the second half of 2021 were less than $200 and totaled about 1.6 million donations.

The data indicates working-class America is still firmly in Trump’s corner, and for good reason; his policies as president were aimed to help them. If he decides to run for POTUS again in 2024, he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with – and a well-funded one, at that.
