Eerily Plausible Nostradamus Predictions for the New Year

( – Many people probably wish they could know what the next few hours, days, or weeks held. Others think they already have an idea of what might happen after studying the predictions of French astrologer Michel de Nôtre-Dame, commonly called Nostradamus. According to his 1555 writings, 2022 may hold inflation, war, and powerful artificial intelligence.

Nostradamus: Too Vague or Spot On?

Many followers of Nostradamus believe he predicted September 11 and President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Now, experts are trying to parse out his hazy predictions for 2022. Centuries ago, he wrote that during this upcoming year, France would experience “harm in such degree” between the “blue-head” and “white head.” This may refer to an invasion, a civil war, or something as simple as two teams going head-to-head in the World Cup.

In another vague stanza, Nostradamus wrote, “The new sage with a lone brain sees it: By his disciples invited to be immortal.” Some people believe this passage refers to the rise of artificial intelligence as the “new” and “immortal” brain. Could this be referring to Elon Musk’s growing AI empire and Facebook’s focus on the Metaverse?

While these are a bit vague, it does make many wonder if Nostradamus simply understood the cyclical nature of human history or if he did have some way of knowing the future.

Are Starvation and Inflation in Store for 2022?

In a less vague passage, Nostradamus wrote that honey will be more expensive than candles, and the price of wheat will be “so high” men are “stirred” and eat while others despair. After the economically and politically tumultuous 2020 and 2021, this is a hard prediction to look over. In case the current 40-year inflation high didn’t send up red flags, this prediction does.

In a similar vein, the French astrologer also noted that “The Black Sea’s living fish shall all but boil” while other cities “half-starved shall be.” This continues on the theme of inflation and starvation while pointing to the rising global temperatures many communities experience.

Just Mere Coincidence? It’s Time to Decide

Some people also believe Nostradamus predicted a nuclear bomb will explode in 2022. While this could bring anxiety and fear to many, it’s important to remember this 500-year old philosopher is not always accurate, and people can interpret his words in many ways. So, whether readers think this is completely bogus or there is a grain of truth to these predictions, remember to live each day to the fullest, as no one truly knows what the future holds.
