FBI Used “Terrorist” Label on US Veteran

(ConservativeInsider.org) – One of the numerous jobs of the federal government is to ensure national security by identifying threats both within and outside of the United States. However, doing so is not an easy task, and it has landed some federal agencies in a predicament more than once. Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), recently unveiled an FBI whistleblower report that showed the agency actually labeled a US army veteran and entrepreneur as a “terrorist.”

In a letter dated September 14, 2022, Jordan wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray asking why the agency had not responded to his inquiry about the FBI’s “Domestic Terrorism Symbols Guide” that referenced a group called American Contingency as a “symbol of militia networks some MVEs may self-identify with,” MVE standing for Militia Violent Extremists. The group was created by former Green Beret Mike Glover, who is also the founder and CEO of Fieldcraft Survival, a company that provides survival equipment and training for people desiring to prep for any potential disaster. American Contingency was created in 2020 to help Americans prepare for, respond to, and recover from any scenario.

After receiving the label as a terrorist, Glover told Tucker Carlson that his social media accounts, as well as those of his family, had been deleted. He called it “horrible,” citing how difficult it is to have fought for his nation for years and now to be “targeted” by the very country he fought to protect. Not only are his businesses struggling with the censorship, but his mother’s beauty salon is dealing with it too.

The FBI eventually concluded Glover’s group was not a threat, and the army veteran was, in fact, “a decorated veteran” who loved his country. Yet, the federal agency kept the terror label on Glover for a while.

Jordan is still seeking to understand why the FBI lumped Glover’s group with terrorists in the first place.
