(ConservativeInsider.org) – Money plays an enormous role in politics, and successful fundraising is a key factor in getting elected. So, as the GOP poses to take back the House in the 2022 midterm election, it must focus on raising financial support to defeat rival Democrats. Thankfully, a new report shows that the GOP’s fundraising momentum is strong.
On Thursday, May 20, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced that it hit a record high of $11.2 million in donations last month. This brings the NRCC’s cash-in-hand to $34 million and marks their best April fundraising during a non-election year. While this momentum is incredible, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) raised $12.2 million in April, bringing its total to $32 million cash-in-hand.
Lawyer Ford O’Connell shared the exciting news and emphasized the goal that the NRCC has in mind:
“The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) brought in a record $11.2 million in fundraising in April as the reelection arm of the House GOP builds resources while it aims to regain the House majority in the 2022 midterm elections.”https://t.co/tDUy7ng7VA

Republicans only need to take back five seats to regain a majority in the House. Historically, the party not in the White House does gain a considerable number of seats during the midterm election, so there is much to be optimistic about. So, as we look forward to the midterms, make sure to read up on and support your chosen candidates and register to vote.
