(ConservativeInsider.org) – The Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security is preparing to release illegal aliens and border crossers directly into US Communities with Title 42 coming to an end as of May 11.
Title 42 was invoked by former President Donald Trump in 2020 to ensure that immigration officials could quickly and effectively return illegal aliens to their countries of origin on the grounds of public health. Thanks to Title 42, over 2.5 million border crossers and illegal aliens have been removed from the US since then.
According to NBCNews, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was preparing a memo that would instruct Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to start releasing illegal aliens and border crossers directly into US communities without the ability to track their movements or setting any pre-arranged court dates.
A policy of releasing illegal immigrants without tracking or assigned court dates started as early as March of 2021. The goal was supposedly to alleviate overcrowding, but at what cost? Many of those migrants were part of a program called Alternatives to Detention, which required them to use a mobile app until such time as they were given a court date. The new policy seems to trust that released migrants will report to their assigned ICE officer.
One DHS official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “The system is already breaking down and we haven’t even hit the starting line yet.”
Even before the end of Title 42, the Department of Homeland Security had almost 30,000 border crossers and illegal aliens in processing centers along the southern border of the US.
The DHS expects in excess of 400,000 migrants to arrive at the border every month after Title 42 ends. This is larger than the resident population of New Orleans, and if allowed to continue, would dwarf within a matter of months the existing five million border crossers and illegal aliens which have already been released into the US by the Biden administration.
