Joe Biden Admits He Thinks Conviction of Trump Unlikely

(ConservativeInsider.org) – The House of Representatives has officially sent articles of impeachment over to the Senate in hopes of convicting former President Donald Trump of inciting the violence at the US Capitol on January 6. However, even President Joe Biden doesn’t think Trump will be convicted when all is said and done.

In a one-on-one interview with CNN, Biden said it was unlikely that 17 Republican senators would join Democrats in voting to convict Trump in order to hit the two-thirds majority necessary to secure the conviction. However, the president still supported moving forward with the impeachment, saying there would be “a worse effect if it didn’t happen.”

Many GOP lawmakers agree that the impeachment trial is likely to go nowhere:

As Democrats continue to keep the pressure on for an impeachment trial, more and more Americans wonder why the Left continues to push for something doomed to fail when our nation continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic.
