(ConservativeInsider.org) – President Joe Biden likes to tell stories as a way to connect with everyday Americans. But, more than once, those little anecdotes turn out to be false and only make citizens question his decision-making ability. Last week, he told one of these odd stories while attempting to describe a heartfelt moment with an Amtrak conductor.
On Friday, April 30, President Biden traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to commemorate Amtrak’s 50th year in operation. During his speech, Biden recalled a time during his “fourth or fifth year as vice president” when he spoke with conductor Angelo Negri. He said he was traveling home to Delaware from DC to spend time with his sick mother when Negri congratulated him on traveling 1.5 million miles on Amtrak.
While the little anecdote was cute, it turns out Biden’s mother died in 2010 and the conductor in question retired in 1993. So, it would be impossible for Biden’s story to have taken place in 2014 or 2015 as he started his second term as vice president.
The New York Post further details the story’s inconsistencies:

Whenever Biden exaggerates or lies, mainstream media asks the American people to accept it and move on. But, this story is just another anecdote that makes us wonder whether Amtrak Joe is truly mentally capable of leading our nation to be the best that it can be.
