(ConservativeInsider.org) – Associate Supreme Court (SCOTUS) Justice Stephen Breyer will serve on the high court until the end of the current term, and then President Joe Biden will replace him. The POTUS has said he will only fill the seat with a black woman, dramatically narrowing the pool of candidates. Vice President Kamala Harris agrees with her boss’ decision, recently speaking out in favor of it.

On February 3, Telemundo News journalist Julio Vaqueiro asked Harris about a recent comment from Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) calling Biden’s pledge “offensive” because it tells “94 percent of America” that they aren’t eligible for the SCOTUS job. The vice president disagreed, saying that the decision to put a black woman on the court is to ensure the court takes into account the “experiences of all Americans” in its rulings.
The debate is not about whether a black woman should be on the high court. Conservatives like Cruz aren’t against that. However, there’s a debate about whether the POTUS should be singling out candidates based on their sex and race. Further, is he passing by candidates who are more qualified for the position in doing so? That is a question Biden has an obligation to answer.
Do you think it’s fair for Biden to use Affirmative Action to choose a Supreme Court nominee?
