Texas Rep Calls Out Sanctuary States for Hypocrisy

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Representatives from states on the border are calling out Democratic governors and mayors as well as President Joe Biden over their hypocrisy on the immigration crisis. Representative Brian Harrison, a Republican from Texas, stated that it’s the “height of hypocrisy” for leaders of blue states and cities to talk about how compassionate and caring they are towards migrants but then ask the federal government for help when migrants actually show up at their door.

Harrison, who served as the chief of staff for the Health and Human Services department during President Trump’s administration, claims that President Biden is encouraging a “whole scale invasion” at the southern border with his policies. Rep. Harrison pointed out that New York City has declared a state of emergency due to the number of migrants they have taken in this entire year, which is basically the amount of people Texas takes in on a daily basis.

Despite Biden’s administration claiming that illegal border crossings have been decreasing, a preliminary report by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol shows that illegal immigration numbers are up 30% in July. They stated that over 130,000 arrests were made in states that border Mexico in July of this year alone, a significant increase from just under 100,000 arrests made in June. An additional 50,000 migrants were allowed to cross the border through a program created by the Biden administration to allow asylum seekers to schedule appointments to enter the country at ports of entry.

Although traditionally border crossings have decreased in the hottest months of the year, things are different this year. Smugglers who sneak migrants into the United States know that authorities here have “limited space” to house migrants, which means that people who cross the border will likely be released into the US after only a short detention. Despite having temperatures that reach over 110 degrees Fahrenheit, Tucson is currently seeing a surge of migrants attempting to cross the border.
