(ConservativeInsider.org) – Hundreds of thousands of children are trafficked across international borders every year. The Trump administration attacked this issue head-on, but you’d never know it since it was barely a blip in the media.
In January 2020, former President Donald Trump signed an executive order to increase resources to those fighting against and raising awareness of this behavior. One non-profit continues to praise his heroic endeavors in this arena.
According to One America News Network (OANN), Jaco Booyens, the founder of the anti-human trafficking organization SHAREtogether, praised Trump’s work against traffickers in an interview on Friday, February 5. Booyens spoke about the “tremendous rise in apprehension” of criminals involved in trafficking and the “incredible impact” his executive orders have made.
The day the historic order was signed, Booyens shared the news on Twitter:

The executive order was clear in its wording that “human trafficking is a form of modern slavery.” To this end, the order made a new position within the Domestic Policy Council to combat trafficking within the United States.
The work of this new office, and of agencies all across the nation cracking down on this illicit and horrendous activity, is one of Trump’s legacies that we will forever be grateful for.
