(ConservativeInsider.org) – President Donald Trump campaigned in 2016 on his promise to Make America Great Again. Part of that involved getting our country out of agreements that did not benefit the United States, including the Paris Agreement, commonly called the Paris Climate Accords. Trump recently criticized Joe Biden for his desire to rejoin the global agreement if he becomes president.
In a statement given to 20 world leaders involved in the Paris Agreement, President Trump declared he was officially withdrawing the United States “to protect American workers… from the unfair and one-sided Paris climate accord.” His speech can be seen here:

This was consistent with his comments when he first gave notice to the United Nations on the US’ withdrawal in 2019:
7. The badly flawed Paris Climate Agreement protects the polluters, hurts Americans, and cost a fortune. NOT ON MY WATCH!
8. I want crystal clean water and the cleanest and the purest air on the planet – we’ve now got that!

President Trump warned Americans — and the world — of what may happen if Joseph Biden has the power to re-enter an agreement that would “surrender millions of American jobs and send trillions of American dollars to the world’s worst polluters and environmental offenders.” Meanwhile, Trump leaves his legacy of conservation, environmental stewardship, and an economy that has bounced back from a worldwide pandemic with vigor.
