(ConservativeInsider.org) – The US Constitution defends Americans from “unreasonable searches and seizures” by the government. But, as our world gets more complex, some Senators are pushing for targeted spying on Americans under the guise of trying to keep our nation safe.
On Thursday, March 25, multiple Senators spoke to the Senate Armed Services Committee, encouraging the National Security Agency (NSA) and Cyber Command to do more domestic intelligence gathering. General Paul Nakasone, the head of both of these agencies, confirmed that President Joe Biden is “exploring” this option, too.
One American shared his concern over the potential move on Twitter:
The Fourth Amendment Is Being Dismantled as Big Government Is Expanding NSA Data Gathering and Surveillance and Preparing for Vaccine Passports https://t.co/CB5A0EuJn2

Searching the data of American citizens without just cause is clearly unreasonable and a violation of the Fourth Amendment. Of course, this news comes as some form of vaccine passport is likely in the works and has already been proposed in New York. While touted as voluntary, it could easily be used to restrict access to any number of services and venues — another clear violation of the Fourth Amendment.
We must demand our GOP representatives protect our right to privacy and medical freedom. While the government may start surveilling Americans today to identify terrorists, who is to say it won’t gather data for voluntary vaccinations tomorrow? Once our nation goes down this slippery privacy slope, it will be difficult to reverse.
