“Vaccine Passports” Now Required at Some MLB Games

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Many Americans are counting down the days until they can go see a baseball or basketball game in person. But, for those who do not want to get an experimental vaccine or a COVID-19 test, that just got more difficult. As of this week, some MLB and NBA teams have published requirements for fans to have a vaccine passport in order to enter the stadium.

On Monday, May 3, the New York Mets issued a statement requiring all game attendees over the age of three to show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test or a full vaccination compliant with CDC policy. In addition, all guests will be subject to temperature checks before entering Yankee Stadium.

One COVID tracking company shared another MLB team with a similar requirement:

This announcement came about a month after the NBA released a partnership with Clear Health Pass to allow basketball teams to roll out digital vaccine passport requirements similar to the MLB. While most Americans are grateful that sporting events are starting back up, requiring the disclosure of private health information in order to enjoy America’s national pastime in person seems a step too far.
