White House WATCH LIST Scandal — This Is Really Bad

Number of Terrorists on Watch Lists Caught at Border Surges 400%

Number of Terrorists on Watch Lists Caught at Border Surges 400%

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Since President Joe Biden took office, the number of migrants trying (and succeeding) to enter the US has dramatically increased, much of this due to policies he enacted. A new report now shows the number of people on the terrorist watch list attempting to make it into America has also greatly increased, causing US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to raise the alarm.

CBP Releases 2022 Fiscal Year-to-Date Statistics

The 2022 Fiscal Year runs from October 1, 2021, until September 30, 2022. While there are a few days left in this cycle, the CBP released its most up-to-date statistics for the year. It detailed there have been 78 Terrorists Screening Dataset Encounters (TSDS) in between ports of entry at the southwest border. These represent people on the federal government’s watchlist of known or suspected terrorists.

In Fiscal Year 2020, there were only 3 such encounters, much fewer than the 15 in the Fiscal Year 2021. However, this year marks a 400% increase in these terrorist apprehensions. There were also a total of 342 TSDS encounters at land border ports during the fiscal year, over a 50% increase from last year.

Two Alleged Terrorists Made It Into the US Already

CBP agents work tirelessly around the clock to screen everyone coming into the US. They watch for illicit substances, illegal firearms, sexual exploitation, and human smugglers, as well as ensure those who enter the US are not terrorists. Yet, they face an enormous number of people every day, and sometimes a few slip through.

According to Deadline Detroit, a Venezuelan born in Lebanon with extremist ties named Issam Bazzi entered the US in November 2021 and was detained at the border. However, he is now living in Dearborn, Michigan, after his release in January as he awaits an asylum trial in March.

In another instance, authorities arrested Iraqi Shihab Ahmed Shihab when he was plotting to kill President George W. Bush in revenge for invading his home country in 2003. Shihab came to the US in 2020 seeking asylum as well.

Our National Security Is at Risk

While CBP agents are working hard to ensure no threats to the American way of life make it onto our shores, the numbers are overwhelming and they can’t stop everyone. Todd Bensman, a researcher with the Center for Immigration Studies, told the Daily Mail he “wouldn’t be surprised if we hear that the person behind the next big shooting or that the person who drove into a crowd is one of the people on this watch list.”
