(ConservativeInsider.org) – Hollywood actor Alan Ritchson, who has been in several films and shows since 2004 but rose to fame after starring in the show “Reacher” as the title character in 2022, has repeatedly expressed anti-MAGA beliefs. His latest film, “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” was released on April 13th but only managed to earn $9 million on its opening weekend, despite a budget of $60 million.
In an interview that was released on April 3, the action movie star discussed a resurfaced picture of him when he was wearing a shirt that said, “Arrest the cops that killed Breonna Taylor.” Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman in Louisville, Kentucky, was shot during drug raid operation in the summer of 2020.
While discussing it, Ritchson called the case as “tragic” before going on to state that police officers “get away with murder all the time.” He described the system of policing in America as flawed and suggested a complete reform, suggesting that cops should be required to spend more time on their education than hairstylists.
During the interview, Ritchson also called former President Trump a “rapist and a con man” and called out Christians who support him, saying he didn’t understand why Christians would support him.
The National Fraternal Order of Police took umbrage to Ritchson’s comments, calling him out in a social media post. The FOP pointed out that cops are out on the streets saving lives while the actor is getting his “face and forehead powdered.” The FOP stated that real-life officers do not get second or third chances to perform their job well like actors do, as cops are dealing with people who want to kill them.
Ritchson replied on social media, calling the FOP’s response “emotionally immature” and questioned how officers would handle a difficult interaction on the street if this is how they respond to a “peaceful disagreement” from him. However, the actor did add that there are many “good and brave cops” out there who deserve gratitude for what they do.
