(ConservativeInsider.org) – Kevin O’Connor, the physician for the White House, stated on Monday, July 8 that President Joe Biden did not see Dr. Kevin Cannard, a neurologist who specializes in Parkinson’s Disease, aside from normal annual physical examinations.
Cannard visited the White House ten times since November 2022, leading many to speculate that Biden has a neurological condition that has not been disclosed to the public. However, O’Connor released a letter stating that Cannard has been working with the White House Medical Unit as a neurological consultant since 2012 and has a “very wide expertise.”
Things grew heated during a White House press briefing on Monday, July 8, when reporters asked why the neurologist visited the White House multiple times in the last two years. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to give further details as to why Cannard visited the White House so many times, suggesting that to do so would violate privacy rules. Jean-Pierre added that “thousands of military personnel” work at the White House and many seek care from the White House medical unit. She would only state that Biden has not been treated for Parkinson’s.
Though there have been concerns about Biden’s mental acuity since before he was elected in 2020, following the President’s debate with former President Donald Trump on June 27, with Biden’s performance seen by most as disastrous. Many, including some within the Democratic party, have suggested that Biden is no longer fit for office and the party needs to replace him as candidate before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August.
The day after the debate, Biden spoke at a rally in North Carolina, saying that while he isn’t as good at debating as he used to be, he’s still capable of doing the job. However, the editorial board of the New York Times and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution disagreed, running editorials suggesting that the best way Biden could serve the country would be by voluntarily stepping down.
