Biden Pushes Radical New Agenda

(ConservativeInsider.org) – President Joe Biden was embracing a far-left radical agenda less than four months before the elections to attract more progressive voters and save his reelection bid. But on Sunday, July 21st, Biden announced he was dropping out of the race and giving his endorsement to Vice President Kamala Harris. It is likely Harris will enact many of the same policies that Biden would have chosen.

Biden was planning to bring major reforms, including legislation that would impose a term limit on Supreme Court justices, a policy measure that is close to the heart of most progressives. The U.S. Constitution allows judges to serve on the high court for their lifetime, but the presence of six conservative judges on the nine-member bench has spurred many Democrats, including Biden, to question the Constitution.

Similarly, the president is proposing drastic changes to control rent and recently suggested limiting the annual rent increase to 5%. As the US faces a soaring housing crisis, progressives have long maintained that renters cannot wait for more houses to be built to see lower rents, and now Biden seems to acknowledge their demand by proposing rent control at the federal level.

The president said he was also planning to back a constitutional amendment that would prevent U.S. presidents from enjoying sweeping immunity, a measure that has become a talking point for many progressives after the Supreme Court granted immunity to former President Donald Trump for official duties.

Forcing medical debt off the credit reports of almost 15 million Americans is yet another radical proposal from the Biden administration to lure more progressive voters into Biden’s camp. This move will enable the beneficiaries to easily acquire more loans for cars, homes, and small businesses.

The White House is also pursuing sweeping student debt relief measures and recently announced to forgive $1.2 billion more in student debt. With this approval, the Biden administration has now forgiven almost $168.5 billion in student debt over the last three and a half years.

Biden’s pursuit of ultra-progressive measures comes at a time when he has been facing mounting pressure from Democrats to drop out of the presidential race.
