(ConservativeInsider.org) – A 29-year-old car burglar, Blake Robinson, was beaten by the 66-year-old victim, Robert Polk, who trashed him to the ground, and “whipped” his butt before handing him over to the police.
Law enforcement arrested Robinson, who was having difficulty standing up after being beaten by Polk who confronted him when he tried to steal his car outside his home.
According to Florida’s Brevard County sheriff, Wayne Ivey, a senior citizen called 911 and reported an attempted burglary where he heard some unexpected noise outside his house, which made him go out and investigate the incident.
As he reached outside, he saw Robinson, who was trying to gain access to his truck. This urged Polk to go back to his house to find his phone and call 911.
However, when Polk came back, Robinson attacked him and pushed him to the ground. The old man gathered the courage to retaliate and beat Robinson, who then found it difficult to get up again due to his injuries. As the police reached the scene, they arrested Robinson and took him to the hospital, where he was treated before being released.
Ivey stated that Polk also received some minor injuries that were treated after the attack.
Robinson now faces charges of attacking a citizen over 65 and burglary, with his bail set at $30,000. He is currently imprisoned in the Brevard County Jail.
This is not the first time that Robinson has found himself in legal battles. In 2018, he set the house of his former girlfriend on fire when two of them entered an argument. Robinson, who was homeless at the time and was temporarily residing in her partner’s home, took items worth more than $500 from the house, stole her car, and fled the scene before the police arrived. He was later arrested and faced charges of first-degree arson and grand theft auto. His actions reportedly caused damage worth more than $22,000 to his girlfriend at the time.
