Israel Kills Top Hamas Municipal Leader

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Israel’s airstrike on a Gaza school killed a senior Hamas official responsible for administering Hamas government activities in Gaza City and Northern Gaza.

Ehab Al-Ghussein took the oath as a senior Hamas administration official just three months ago. Previously, he had served in the Hamas administration in different capacities, such as the deputy labor minister and spokesman for the Hamas-controlled Gaza interior ministry.

Israel claimed to have carried out the strike after gathering necessary intelligence that suggested the presence of “terrorists” operating from the school, which was also housing refugees from war-torn Gaza.

According to eyewitnesses, the airstrikes targeted two classrooms of the Holy Family School in western Gaza, which resulted in the death of four people. The Israeli forces also stated that they took additional steps to minimize the civilian casualties in the strikes.

This is not the first time that Israeli forces have targeted Hamas administration officials. In November last year, multiple Hamas government employees, including the deputy speaker of the legislative council and the deputy culture minister, were neutralized.

Netanyahu is facing the heat from local resistance groups to strike a deal with Hamas in order to evacuate nearly 120 hostages that remain in the custody of the terror group. The protesters are also pushing Netanyahu to announce new elections, claiming that the government has lost its credibility after the October 7 Hamas attacks.

Israel is hesitating to sign any ceasefire agreement that does not allow it to continue its military operation in Palestine after the deal. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu believes that the ceasefire agreement should still allow him to continue the offensive in parts of Palestine until he reaches his goal of eliminating Hamas and its associates.

Meanwhile, more than 200 Israeli corporations, including tech giants, have allowed their employees to take leave to participate in the anti-government protests.

As the war enters its tenth month, data from the Hamas-controlled health ministry shows that more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7.
