(ConservativeInsider.org) – Since Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the possible presidential nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2024 elections, her previous blunders that intensified the border crisis under her watch have been resurfacing.
One such interview from 2021 shows NBC’s host Lester Holt grilling Harris for her ignorance of the border crisis despite acting as Biden’s “border czar.”
The interview was recorded in Guatemala when Harris was visiting the Central American country to deal with the so-called “root causes” of the border crisis.
Holt asked Harris why she had not visited the border despite leading the administration’s efforts on the issue. Harris replied, “we” have visited the border, which urged Holt to specifically mention that “you” have not been to the border.
On this, Harris replied that just like she has not visited Europe, she has not visited the border, adding that she is not downplaying the significance of the border but wants to focus on eliminating the root causes that trigger illegal immigration in the first place.
Democrats’ flawed approach to dealing with these root causes has urged them to pour in massive sums of money to different countries, but the number of illegal immigrants has only been rising under their watch. Nearly 10 million illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. during the Biden-Harris tenure, leading to the lawlessness and housing crisis in major U.S. cities.
After appearing in Holt’s interview in 2021 and facing severe criticism from Republicans, Harris finally decided to visit the border, which remains her only visit to the Southern border to date.
Even during that visit, federal agents were mobilized to remove scores of illegal immigrants from the streets and make border areas look good in front of the vice president.
These continuous inefficient policies of the Biden-Harris administration have now urged bipartisan lawmakers to condemn them. Recently, six Democrats joined Republicans to pass a resolution that “strongly” condemned Harris for worsening the border crisis.
