The Associated Press declared Gill the winner at 8:25 p.m. EST, with the final tally showing him capturing 62.9% of the vote against Democrat Ernest Lineberger’s 35.6%.

A Conservative Fighter with Powerful Backing
Gill’s campaign received significant support from high-profile conservatives, including former President Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz. His platform focused on key issues resonating with conservative Texans, such as strengthening immigration laws, implementing effective economic policies, and defending the Second Amendment.
“My district is looking for a conservative, Republican fighter,” Gill stated. “Somebody who is going to stand up to the establishment. Somebody who is going to actually represent the values of conservative Texans in Washington. That’s something we don’t have enough of right now, and that’s something I’ll certainly do.”
The young congressman-elect brings a unique background to his new role. Raised on a cattle ranch near Abilene, Texas, Gill graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with degrees in economics and history. His professional experience includes a successful career on Wall Street and in managing hedge funds, offering a financially informed approach to policy making.
A Strong Conservative Agenda
Gill’s campaign platform addressed a wide range of conservative priorities. He emphasized his commitment to tackling illegal immigration, bolstering the economy, reducing crime, supporting energy independence, and protecting Second Amendment rights. Additionally, Gill took strong stances on pro-life issues, support for Israel, and opposition to gender-transition surgeries for minors.
