(ConservativeInsider.org) – Republican Senator Ted Cruz asked law enforcement agencies to investigate foreign involvement in anti-Israel college protests across the United States.
Speaking in his own podcast, Cruz discussed a shocking report that detailed clandestine funding of the Chinese communist government to anti-Israel uprisings in the US schools.
According to Cruz, American enemies are busy destroying the country by funding extremist groups that promote ‘cultural Marxism’ and lead anti-Israel protests in colleges across America.
Cruz urged the Department of Justice and the FBI to investigate the origin of funding for these protests. He stated that China and Iran are two major countries funding these demonstrations along with terror outfits like Hamas and Hezbollah.
The conservative senator also mentioned that anti-American foreign students who want civil and political unrest in the United States through these protests should be deported to their home countries.
Cruz’s comments came in the aftermath of a report by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) that revealed the involvement of multiple advocacy groups sponsored by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and other foreign entities in the college demonstrations.
One such group named Shut It Down for Palestine (SID4P) was formed after the October 7 attacks of Hamas on Israel and is found to propagate the geopolitical ambitions of the CCP in the United States.
He added that the NCRI report explained that the Chinese government spent nearly $100 million to fuel these protests. Cruz claimed that although China might not have direct interests in Israel or Hamas, it benefits from the social unrest in the US, which motivates their funding of these movements.
SID4P also has the backing of Samidoun, which has relations with the US-designated terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Cruz is not the only lawmaker who is worried about the financing origins of college protesters.
Multiple House Committees, including Judiciary and Oversight Committees, have already launched investigations on the funding of these protests that have disrupted educational activities across the nation.
