(ConservativeInsider.org) – After independent presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his running mate, GOP presumptive candidate Donald Trump launched a scathing attack, branding Kennedy as “the most radical Left candidate in the race.”
In his announcement on Tuesday, March 26, Kennedy named Nicole Shanahan, a lawyer and Democratic supporter, his vice-presidential running mate. Trump seized on Shanahan’s endorsement of President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign and her $150,000 donation to leftist Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s campaign to cement Kennedy’s position as a “radical Left Democrat.” Trump saw the Kennedy/Shanahan ticket as potentially advantageous, possibly undermining Biden’s chances.
Using his Truth Social account, the former president expressed his belief that RFK Jr. is the most radical left candidate in the race. He argued that Kennedy’s alignment with the Green New Deal and other economic policies could draw votes away from Joe Biden. He also characterized Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, as even more liberal than Kennedy himself, predicting challenges for the duo in getting on the ballot, suggesting potential legal issues.
During his announcement, Kennedy praised Shanahan’s proficiency in technology and health domains, highlighting her decade-long utilization of neural networks, artificial intelligence, and advanced scientific methodologies to uncover governmental malpractices. Additionally, Kennedy emphasized Shanahan’s comprehension of the significance of every American’s health as a matter of national security.
He underscored her track record, indicating that her efforts consistently demonstrate the pivotal role of health in driving the economy and serving as the bedrock for mental well-being, national contentment, global leadership, innovation, prosperity, and peace.
Before switching to an independent candidacy, Kennedy started with the Democratic Party. He criticized the party for playing a one-sided game, aligning itself too closely with the Biden campaign, leaving little to no chance for a challenge to President Biden.
Kennedy has placed primary emphasis on challenging federal health policies, particularly regarding the COVID-19 vaccine initiative, and has positioned himself as a leading environmentalist in America.
As per data from the RealClearPolitics polling average, the independent presidential candidate is polling around 10% nationally in a 5-way race involving Biden, Trump, independent candidate Cornel West, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and himself.
