(ConservativeInsider.org) – In an interview that aired on Thursday, May 9, former President Donald Trump stated that his youngest son, Barron Trump, was 17 years old. Barron, however, turned 18 on March 20.
The interviewer asked Donald Trump how he felt about his son starting his political career as a Florida delegate during the Republican National Convention, which will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from July 15 to 18. Donald Trump then called his son “pretty young,” stating that his youngest child was under 18 still. However, he said he supported the idea if Barron was allowed to become a delegate.
Donald Trump went on to compliment his youngest son, calling him a “smart one,” in addition to tall, as Barron is 6’7”. The former President also added that Barron is smart and a “great student,” and also enjoys politics, occasionally giving his president father advice on what to do.
When questioned about Trump’s mistake, the spokesperson for his campaign, Steven Cheung, lashed out, suggesting the media suffered from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” because they were more focused on a minor mistake from Trump over the “disastrous” outcomes of President Joe Biden’s policies.
Barron will be graduating from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida on May 17. Though his father is currently attending a court case in New York over allegations that he paid hush money to keep an affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels a secret, the judge in the case allowed the former President to miss a day of court so he can attend Barron’s graduation.
Despite reports that Barron would be a delegate at the Republican Convention, the office of his mother, former First Lady Melania Trump, issued a statement that although Barron was “honored” by being selected, he had to decline the invitation because he has “prior commitments.” Several of Trump’s other children—Eric, Donald Jr, Tiffany, including their spouses, will be serving as delegates at the Milwaukee convention.
