(ConservativeInsider.org) – Model and rapper Amber Rose will speak at the Republican National Convention (RNC) that will commence in Milwaukee on July 15 and nominate former president Donald Trump as the GOP candidate for the White House.
Rose confirmed her participation in the event on her X account. Previously co-chair of the RNC, Lara Trump, hinted at the possibility of some “unlikely attendees” in the event that will make everyone excited.
Rose recently endorsed Trump by posting her picture with him and the former First Lady Melania Trump. Following this support, she attracted backlash from her followers, who accused her of backing a person who goes against her ideals.
After Trump’s recent hush money verdict, Rose backed the former president and suggested that the case would only help him further. She also collaborated with rapper Forgiato Blow for his pro-Trump song “Trump Trump Baby,” which slammed Biden and supported Trump.
Over the years, she had maintained a rocky relationship with Trump. During the 2016 election cycle, she called Trump a “f***ing idiot” and told him that he would never become the president of the United States. She even joined a number of other celebrities who pledged to leave the US in case of Trump’s victory in 2016.
This year’s RNC convention is also attracting increased attention as Trump is yet to announce his running mate, who has to be formally nominated by the party during the event. It is widely believed that Trump is intentionally delaying the announcement to avoid diverting media attention that is currently focused on Biden’s poor debate performance and his mental capabilities.
Rose’s participation in the event also suggests that she may remain actively involved in the Trump campaign till the November elections. The GOP is also counting on her to attract more black voters who are already turning towards Trump in unprecedented numbers, and the involvement of black celebrities like Rose can further tilt this traditionally-Democratic demographic towards the former president.
