Masked Gunmen Murder 4 at California House Party

( – A birthday party in King City, California turned deadly on Sunday, March 3, when three masked gunmen opened fire at the residence the party was being held at. A total of eleven people were struck by gunfire, with four fatalities.

According to the King City Police Department, officers were sent to the residence on the 200 block of N. 2nd Street around 6 P.M. on Sunday evening after there were reports of shots fired. The responding officers discovered three men in the front yard of the home with gunshot wounds. The men were all pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived.

A woman at the residence who was also shot was taken to the Mee Memorial Hospital but later died from her injuries. At least seven other people who were present were taken to the Natividad Medical Center with gunshot wounds, but they are expected to make full recoveries. Local police noted that all the deceased were adults. No further information about the victims has been released.

Authorities stated that a birthday party was taking place at the residence when a silver Kia pulled up and three men got out and opened fire at the partygoers. The suspects then returned to their vehicle and left the scene. The KCPD said the shooters were wearing dark clothing and masks covering their faces.

Unfortunately, this quadruple homicide is just one of several shooting incidents that occurred at ordinary gatherings this weekend. Two people were shot outside a high school basketball game in Missouri this weekend, and 12 people were shot at a nightclub in Mississippi as well.

If residents see the suspects or a silver Kia matching the description, they are advised to call 911 rather than confronting the suspects, as they are considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has additional information about the shooting or the suspects, they are asked to reach out to Sergeant Josh Partida with the King City Police Department at 831-386-5988, or the WeTip line, which is 1-800-78-CRIME.
