Trump Names Two As Potential VP Picks

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Former President Donald Trump, in a recent interview with Maria Bartiromo, revealed potential contenders for his vice presidential running mate, naming Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem as individuals under consideration.

During the discussion, Trump emphasized the importance of selecting a vice president who could step into the role of president if needed. He praised both Scott and Noem for their recent support and advocacy on his behalf, noting Scott’s increased visibility and assertiveness in defending his administration.

Trump remarked that Tim Scott had shown his value, noting Scott’s transformation from a “low-key” figure to a formidable advocate. He highlighted Scott’s recent endorsements and described him as a “real tiger” in his support for Trump’s policies.

Similarly, Trump commended Governor Noem for her unwavering support, citing her statement that she wouldn’t run against him due to an inability to defeat him as a testament to her loyalty.

While acknowledging past staffing errors during his tenure, Trump defended his decisions, comparing them to actions taken by previous administrations. He asserted his authority in removing officials when necessary, citing the dismissal of former FBI Director James Comey as an example.

Looking ahead to a potential return to office, Trump hinted at the reinstatement of some former Cabinet members and expressed confidence in his relationships with foreign leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping. Despite concerns about Chinese interference in future elections, Trump advocated for election reforms to ensure fairness and security in the electoral process.

Addressing internal party dynamics, Trump discussed potential endorsements from key figures such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and hinted at possible changes within the Republican National Committee leadership.

In criticizing the current administration, Trump held President Biden accountable for recent foreign policy incidents, including a strike by an Iranian proxy that resulted in the deaths of three US soldiers in Jordan. He compared his approach to foreign policy with Biden’s and said that such incidents would never have been possible under his administration’s leadership.

Looking ahead to future political engagements, Trump mentioned plans to hold rallies in the Bronx and potentially at Madison Square Garden to engage with diverse audiences and broaden his electoral appeal.
